Carman Contracting expands partnership with Amiri Homes

Carman Contracting has secured a new contract with Amiri Homes, continuing our successful partnership in delivering sustainable energy solutions.

Following our earlier collaboration this year, which saw us install 58 solar panels at a new affordable housing development in New Milton, we’re excited to start work on Amiri Homes’ latest project at Woodcroft Copse, Waterlooville.

The five-month project, which started on site in November 2024, involves installing solar panels across 31 new residential plots. These plots are part of a Guinness Homes development featuring two, three, and four-bedroom terraced and semi-detached affordable houses and flats in the Lovedean area of Waterlooville.

Working with different trades will require us to be flexible and agile, as even a minor delay by one of the other trades on-site can have a knock-on effect on schedules.

Rory Carman, Director of Carman Contracting, said, “We’re really pleased to be working with Amiri Homes again and to showcase our expertise in renewable energy. As part of the contract, we have designed the installation to meet the specific SAP requirements and to ensure compliance with the Distribution Network Operators regulations and the Microgeneration Certificate Scheme’s (MCS) rigorous standards for efficiency, reliability and safety.”
