The design and build contract for multi-technical installation and maintenance provider, Equans, involved creating a new accessible toilet, two additional cells, and an upgrade to the courtroom docks to ensure the modernist-style court building complies with current equality and building legislation.

Carman Contracting has completed the restoration and replacement of 20 old sash windows at the Castle Street Almshouse flats in Reading as part of a Thames Valley Surveying test project. This initial trial phase is part of the main project's approval process, which will see 140 windows refurbished or replaced at the Grade II listed property.

In a move to bolster the company's project management capabilities, Carman Contracting has appointed Gary Swaby to the team.
